The team at Immersive Tales were all delighted to receive this feedback from Carlton Road Academy. In July 2025 we delivered story-writing workshops to their Year 2 and Year 3 classes. Following the workshop, their literacy lead sent us this wonderful evaluation of their experience:

“This week, our Year 2 and Year 3 children had the opportunity to take part in the Immersive Tales workshop, and it was a truly inspiring experience for all involved. The workshop, led by Noel and Niz, was a fantastic celebration of imagination, storytelling, and creativity.

Noel and Niz were outstanding facilitators who captivated the children from the outset. They skilfully encouraged every child to dive into their imagination and build their own unique stories with confidence and excitement. Their energy, warmth, and ability to bring stories to life helped create an atmosphere where every child felt empowered to contribute and explore their own ideas.

The workshop provided a valuable and joyful learning experience that perfectly complements our school’s Writing for Pleasure ethos. By making storytelling fun, collaborative, and meaningful, it has helped reinforce our goal of nurturing enthusiastic, motivated young writers. Many of the children returned to class eager to continue writing and sharing the stories they had started in the session.

It was particularly heartening to hear so many children already asking, “When can we go again next year?” Their enthusiasm shows just how impactful this experience was. We’re excited to see how returning to Immersive Tales each year will help children build on their skills, grow in confidence, and develop their creativity over time. It will be wonderful to watch their storytelling abilities progress year on year.

As we look ahead, the success of this workshop will feed directly into our Academy Development Plan. Encouraging creativity and developing writing confidence across all year groups is a key priority for us, and experiences like Immersive Tales offer an excellent foundation on which to build.
